Alps Bio Cluster is a European project funded by the European Regional Development Fund that aims to unite research, industrial, and training resources in Biotech and Medtech sectors over an extended transalpine area.
Alps Bio Cluster organizes in 2011 a Medtech Summer School in collaboration with its local partner Adebag, together with the phD school EDISCE, and with the Grenoble university.

Attendance : 25 international PhD and master degree students in the field of medical technologies.
Program: Conferences on applied research in Medtech for the first day, and for the following days enterprises’ tours focused on innovation (bioMérieux, Becton Dickinson, Roche, Trixell, European Synchrotron Radiation Facility ESRF, Surgiqual Institute), and teamworks on concrete projects supervised by experts in technology transfer.
Social events are also planned.
Price : Participation fee of 260€ for an all inclusive package : participation to the summer school, high standing accomodation, lunches and local transportation.

This Medtech Summer School is an opportunity for students to discover the process of innovation, to become aware of the industrial challenges in medical technology, and to create links with companies and other students in their field.
