Haighlights regarding key Management challenges: develop a plan, financing, Exit, etc.

A key issue to be tackled at the outset of the workshop is to understand the critical success factors of the various distinctive businesses within Life Sciences: Bio-tech vs med-tech vs med vs health care. To successfully develop innovative products and services within this typically highly regulated space there becomes an issue, particularly so as to ensure realistic new sales.
Many of the business initiatives in this area are launched by entrepreneurs who may have strong credentials within particular aspects of the life sciences industry, but not necessarily extensive depth of knowledge when it comes to managerial issues to develop a realistic business plan, and to develop realistic financing. To be able to draw on strategic partners often becomes a key option! In the end, a successful exit from one’s business seems key to many – above all financially, but also to safeguard the further development of the raison d’être of one’s business within a new corporate context. It is of course important to illustrate successes vs failures – and there are many the latter! Practical examples and testimonials from successful operators are central to this work-shop
