Tissue biomechanics for medical applications

For many tissues – such as bones, cartilage, tendons, arteries or cornea – their mechanical properties are intimately linked to their function in the body. Understanding these mechanical properties and the role they play in healthy tissue development and repair as well as in disease is a major challenge that requires an interdisciplinary approach and the development of new technological solutions.

CSEM is happy to invite you to Neuchâtel for this special edition of its “Innovate for Health” event dedicated to a success story of the CTI strong franc program. Renowned speakers from industry, applied research and hospital will present the latest advances and share their experience and needs in biomechanics.

A new instrument dedicated to the analysis of soft materials and developed in a collaborative project between CSEM, CSM Instruments and the Commission for Technology and Innovation CTI will be revealed during the networking aperitif.
