Flaws found in biostatistics of research projects both in academia and industry are far to common and have lead to a mounting concern about the subsequent false results. The Biotelligences seminars series aims to tackle this issue by educating life scientists in good biostatistic practices.
There will be no heavy mathematics, just simple introductions to logical thinking in biostatistics tailored to the needs of biologists. So far, we have three seminars scheduled in March, which will be repeated to make sure attendees can find a session corresponding to their availabilities:
Biostatistics for reviewers: the essentials (1/2 day seminar. You chose your session: March 6, 13 or 27);
Experimental design and grant writing (1/2 day seminar. You chose your session: March 6 or 20);
Presenting quantitative data (1/2 day seminar. You chose your session: March 13, 20 or 27).
Lectures will take place in Lausanne, on the UNIL campus and will be in English.
The online registration form and detailed programme are available on our website (en.biotelligences.com/btlg-seminars).
