BioInnovation Day is an event with the objective of providing a constructive interface between academia, start ups, potential investors, and economic decision-makers.

The fifth edition of BioInnovation Day will take place on November 2nd, 2010 in Lausanne.

BioInnovation Day is a networking event for investors and industry representatives providing the opportunity to learn about the best innovative developments and projects in life sciences in the Western Switzerland and meet the most promising entrepreneurs and academics behind the projects.

Representatives from the industry and investor communities will describe their approach to sourcing new opportunities and their criteria for investment. Dr. Rudi Pauwels, founder of biotech companies Tibotec and Virco (now J&J), and founder and CEO of Biocartis S.A. will talk about how to set up innovative companies, secure funding and build the right team around a new idea. We'll also hear from Claudio Nessi, Partner at Neomed about venture capital investing and Katie Ellias, Program Director Medtronic EUreka who will open our medtech session speaking about industry partnerships.
