BioForum - Central European Forum of Biotechnology and Innovative BioEconomy is the biggest and the most important international event for biotechnology in the region of Central Europe
The main goal of BioForum is to create business networking between growing Central European and well-established US as well as Western European biobusiness. It is an event supporting technology transfer from life sciences (biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, etc.) to areas such as bioeconomy, health, drugs and food production, cosmetics and environment. BioForum visitors are given a unique possibility to drive into sea of valuable, applicable R&D projects gathered in one place at the same time.
BioForum is not only an opportunity for Central Europe to become the source of innovative biotechnologies, but also a chance for world biotechnology leaders to find new products in this region. As it gathers the trade fair and B2B meetings in one place at the same time, it provides the biotech industry with opportunities to exchange information, experience and business contacts, which will eventually lead to profitable ventures and generate “value-added” to this highly knowledge based sector of the economy.
The results of the 9th edition of BioForum (19-21th May 2010) once again superseded the expectations of the event organisers. More than 1500 participants – representing 20 countries, 100 exhibitors, over 100 R&D projects presented, more than 900 business meetings within the frames of BioPartnering – these are only some of the results of last edition of BioForum. Different levels of the single business event in the biotechnology and life-science sector proved to be attractive for the participants: the exhibition and poster sessions, high-profile presentations, seminars and workshops, BioPartnering – business meetings, high-profile conference „The economical effects of Biotechnology Development in the regions” and the much-frequented Jobvector Career Day.
