Constantly at the forefront of innovation at the service of science, the BioAlps cluster has a diverse and sophisticated offer to enable you to excel in your projects and achieve your specific milestones. A variety of core facilities exists within the BioAlps cluster that is used in Switzerland and worldwide.

Scientific and technological facilities are open to all the biotechnological and medical community (proteomics, bioinformatics, rational drug design, imaging, screening, phenotyping, microscopy, cell sorting, micro/nanomanufacturing, clean rooms...).  They are well structured, based on high-tech equipment, managed by specialists of international repute and are open to industrial partnerships.

The region offers centralised laboratories for developing and providing state-of-the-art resources to facilitate biomedical research. They are available on a fee-for-service basis to the entire biomedical  research community and have established many interactions with the industrial and start-up communities.

Services include bioinformatics, with easy access to both infrastructure and computational  expertise, notably proteomics platforms that are used by national, regional and international teams; biomedical imaging to advance understanding of biomedical problems in health and disease; cell therapy including the use of embryonic stem cells, to name only a few.
