EPFL Life Science Symposium on "Engineering Life"(02.09.2010)

A major international scientific event organized under the motto "ENGINEERING LIFE".


The School of Life Sciences at the EPFL in Lausanne is announcing LSS2010, a major international scientific event organized under the motto "ENGINEERING LIFE".

The EPFL Life Science Symposium, taking place Sept. 2nd-4th, 2010, will showcase some of the most modern and exciting developments in the broad and profoundly interdisciplinary field of biology-based engineering.

Five core themes will be covered by some 28 high profile invited speakers coming from leading universities in the US, Europe and Switzerland:

- Biomolecular Structure and Systems
- Single Cell Systems
- Multicellular Systems
- Tissue and Physiological Systems
- Therapeutics and Diagnostics

Registrations are open online (fee: CHF 100.- / 75.- for members of EPFL) and participants are warmly encouraged to contribute a poster.

A special session on Sept 2nd will be dedicated to presenting the annual Debiopharm Life Sciences Award, which this year will honor a young European investigator active in the field of Drug Delivery and Pharmaceutical Technology, with a CHF 100’000 prize.
