Human Brain Cell Culture Optimisation

(Reference Number IDF 21/01)

The Technology :

Both fundamental studies in neural cell biology and development of cell therapy strategies require the development of methods providing readily available human neural cells.

Several methods have been developed over the past years, essentially based on production of stem cells from f?tal or adult brain tissue or on the differentiation of stem cells from peripheral tissue such as bone marrow.

We propose an optimised culture protocol for adult human brain cells with remarkable cell production efficiency in primoculture.

Applications :

This technology should also be of great interest to any company active in the area of brain repair following neurodegenerative pathologies, mechanical brain damage repair, ex-vivo gene therapy, autograft.
